Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush Review and Swatches

Revlon Escapism Collection for Summer 2012

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush recently launched the new Revlon Escapism Collection for Summer 2012. The collection was designed by Gucci Westman. There are three shades available; Pinched, Flushed and Coral Reef but I’m not sure whether Revlon plans to keep these in their catalog or they are only available for a limited time because of their summer campaign. By the way, Olivia Wilde look so gorgeous in this collection ads.

I asked my friend from USA to buy and ship me these cream blushers. Each shade is only $12.99 (RM40) per 0.44 oz. I don't know whether they will sell this at our nationwide drugstores or not. From the packages, the shades look so bright and pigmented. However, the packaging is very weird, it's actually showing the bottom of the container from the box hole. Look out how awesome the shades are in their 2 inches wide x 1/2 inches tall pots.

These are the upper side and bottom side of the round pot that hold the blush. Each pot has 0.44 oz of product. Wait till you see how pigmented these babies are!! I drew a circle on that piece of the paper and put my camera on the stand to capture equal images. And I think it works!!

Coral Reef

Flushed

Pinched

Coral Reef look like tangerine tango or a really popping orange. Flushed look likes fushia and it doesn't has any shimmer at all. Meanwhile, Pinched look like peach mixed with beige but more on the orange side. It has some kind of gold shimmer but very fine one.

Swatches: On white paper

Swatches: On my skin

I like Pinched and Flushed than Coral Reef. Coral Reef is too much for me as I have darker skin. But I think, fair girls out there would be very lucky! Well, the bad things about this blush is that, I don't like to dip my finger in its pot because I don't really know how to blend it well. However, you can't do nothing else about it cause it is a cream blush. But most of the girls who might think bacteria on the loose, might don't like this product. The product might be a little bit expensive but I think this will last longer than my other powder blusher. At first application, it look wet and creamy on my finger but it dries down to a powdery finish. However when I applied this, it doesn't suit my oily face at all, the color fades after a few hours of application although I set it with translucent powder. Well, it really is disappointing after spending RM 120 for these three products.
