Jemput-Jemput Bawang (Onion Fritters)

BAHAN-BAHAN / INGREDIENTS

1 cawan tepung gandum biasa / 1 cup of regular flour
1/2 cawan bawang besar kuning dipotong dadu / 1/2 cup of diced brown onion
2/3 cawan air / 2/3 cup of water
1 biji telur sederhana / 1 medium-sized egg
1 tsp garam / 1 tsp of salt
Minyak sawit atau minyak jagung untuk menggoreng / Palm Oil or Canola Oil for frying

CARA-CARA / DIRECTION

1. Panaskan minyak di dalam kuali. Heat oil in a wok.
2. Kacaukan semua bahan di dalam satu mangkuk. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
3. Sudukan bahan ke dalam kuali. Spoon ju

Rasanya semua orang tahu I big fan Foodnetwork channel. Tadi tengok Chopped Season 18, pastu beria-ria fikir kalaulah aku ni salah seorang dari contestant Chopped, apa yang aku nak masak? Hubby suka sangat western food, so try this new recipe la sebelum dia balik kerja. Nanti boleh bagi dia try rasa sekali :)

Mesti korang pernah tengok episod Chopped kan?? Contestant akan diberi satu bakul yang mengandungi 4 ingredients dan kena cipta satu masakan daripada bahan-bahan tersebut. Aku pun apa lagi habis jer episod "Firefighters Taste" tu, aku pun terus masuk kedapur. Aku ambik ingredients yang ada depan mata jer iaitu potato, bawang merah, mustard dan madu. Tadi baru basuh peti sejuk, tu yang barang-barang ni semua ada depan mata. So, nilah hasil uji kaji petang tadi. Sedap la pulak, korang jangan lupa try :)

GARAM MASALA ROASTED POTATO / KENTANG BAKAR GARAM MASALA

4 medium-size potato / 4 biji kentang saiz sederhana

2 small-size shallots / 2 ulas bawang merah saiz kecil

2 TBS extra virgin olive oil / 2 sudu besar minyak zaitun perahan pertama

1 TSP garam masala / 1 sudu kecil garam masala

1 TSP dried rosemary / 1 sudu kecil rosemary kering

HONEY MUSTARD ORANGE SAUCE

2 TBS honey / 2 sudu besar madu

2 TBS yellow mustard / 2 sudu besar mustard kuning

2 TBS orange juice / 2 sudu besar jus oren

4 TBS olive oil / 4 sudu besar minyak zaitun

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Peel the potatoes skin, cut them into small chunks. Finely slice the shallots. Mix all the ingredients into a bowl. Season with salt and black pepper. Put parchment paper in an oven dish and pour the mixture onto the parchment paper and bake it in the oven for 30-40 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

Combine honey, mustard and orange juice in a bowl. Whisk the ingredients slowly when adding the olive oil a bit by bit. When consistency achieved, pour the sauce onto the roasted potato. Serve immediately.

Panaskan ketuhar pada suhu 180 darjah Celcius. Kupas kulit kentang, dan potong kepada ketulan kecil. Hiris bawang merah nipis-nipis. Campurkan semua bahan ke dalam sebuah mangkuk. Perasakan dengan garam dan lada hitam. Letakkan kertas minyak di dalam bekas ketuhar dan tuangkan semua bahan ke atas kertas minyak tersebut. Bakar di dalam ketuhar selama 30-40 minit sehingga kentang lembut.

Campurkan madu, mustard dan jus oren ke dalam mangkuk. Kacau bahan perlahan-lahan sambil memasukan minyak zaitun sedikit demi sedikit. Bila kepekatan tertentu telah dicapai, tuang sos ke atas kentang bakar yang telah masak. Hidangkan terus.

Cubalah, korang pasti takkan menyesal. Sangat-sangat sedap!! :)

Mee Bandung Muar

Salam, tekak ni dah lama tak makan makanan selatan, teringin la plak. Entah-entah baby yang nak makan bukan mommy dia. Hehe.

First time makan mee bandung masa belajar di Kolej Matrikulasi Johor. Lepas tu terus jatuh cinta dengan mee bandung. Suka sangat kalau dapat potong poach egg tu guna sudu ngan garfu dan makan dengan kuah. Nyum nyum nikmat tak terkata.

Hari ni ajak hubby try kedai kat area rumah kitaorang. Pak cik yang masak mee bandung ni dah nampak macam ditelan usia sangat-sangat, mungkin tu sebab kenapa mee bandung dia sedap. Perghh sumpah tak tipu.

Dah makan sikit baru teringat nak ambil gambar. Maklumlah ibu mengandung katakan, selalu lapar. Dah la muntah lagi hari ni. Apa la baby ni. 

Overall, sangat sedap. Mungkin manis sikit sebab udang yang digunakan sangat sangat segar. Tapi bila dah perah limau kasturi okay sikit. Cut down the sweetness. Masa makan separuh, nampak macam sikit, macam tak cukup jer. Tapi bila dah habis, alhamdulilah kenyang.

Mee bandung ni cuma ada mee, telur, limau kasturi, satu fish ball dengan satu fish cake. Itu jer. Tapi boleh tahan sebab harga dia cuma RM3.50. Murah kan? Tapi penuh satu pinggan. Saya puas hati!!!

Gerai yang berpayung tu jerlah tempat pak cik tu masak. Dia pun sewa tapak jer ngan tauke kedai tu. Keadaan kedai agak usang tapi tak ada lalat dan sampah. Bagi yang berkereta susah sikit, sebab tempat parking kat depan sikit dalam 100meter. Kalau pakai motor, boleh parking jer depan kedai sebab jalannya agak sempit untuk parking kereta.

Welcoming Baby Raykal

Hello. It's a beautiful day and my sister just gave birth to this adorable first nephew of mine, Muhammad Raykal bin Muhammad Irfan. Weighed almost 3.5 kg and my sister had to go under the knife to get him out :P

His name was supposed to be Muhammad Akid Raykal but due to lack of space in the name registration form, my brother-in-law just name him Muhammad Raykal. My mother and father love him so much because he is the first grandchild and my mother stayed up all night for him so that my sister can have some rest after breastfeeding him in the night. Born on Friday after Jumaat prayer was the best gift as my father said so. Hope he can become as adorable as always, smart and respect his parents. 

To baby Raykal, aunty Nana bought you a few clothes for you and hope you wear them always :)

Aku Kena Kahwin??

OOO...mak kenapa mak, kenapa???

Selalunya kita dengar, anak merayu kat mak nak kahwin cepat kan?? Ni terbalik pulak kisah aku...aku pulak merayu dekat mak aku tak nak kahwin...wuwuwu...

Mula-mula, mak, ayah, umi ngan abah (parents bf aku) dah bincang nak kahwin bulan Oktober nanti time Raya Haji. Dah buat planning la tu kononnya. Kemudian disebabkan aku bukak bisnes ni, mak aku tak suka aku berdua-duaan ngan dia, so percepatkanlah kahwin tu...

Mau terkejut beruk aku, adik-adik aku semua dah tahu aku jer orang last yang tau...Dipendekkan cerita, kitaorang kena kahwin bulan depan, seminggu lepas raya. So, semua kena buat segera, kursus kahwin la, HIV test la...memacam lagi

Tapi yang paling menyedihkan, duit semua dah habis buat bisnes, 45K lak tu...mana nak cari duit nak beli baju, pelamin, mak andam ngan fotographer....wawawa...sedih sedih

Hai semua, sorry sangat sebab tak ade post sebanyak beberapa bulan yang lalu (eh, dah guna Bm balik la..) hehehe...sebenarnya busy sangat!!

Sejak bekerja 13 Januari 2013 yang lalu hinggalah dah berhenti kerja 31 Mei yang lalu, barulah bercadang balik nak menulis blog. Maklumlah, nak kata busy tu tidaklah yer, tapi lepas balik kerja, mesti makan dulu kemudian terus tidur..

Hari-hari macam inilah sahaja life, sampailah berhenti kerja. Berhenti kerja pun sebab tak tahan dengan perangai menyampah colleague. Suka sangat "ngendeng" ngan bos sampai aku lak kena marah...fuh, nasib badan. Takpelah, aku dari dulu sampai sekarang memang tak suka sangat bekerja ngan orang ni. Alhamdulilah, dipermurahkan rezeki dan dapat buka bisnes sendiri.

Bisnes kecik-kecik jer yer, bukanlah besar mana pun....

Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part 2

My second movie marathon is Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2. I didn't finish reading all Twilight book but I guess the idea is pretty amazing except I wish Robert Pattison is not Edward. He didn't has enough amount of character in my opinion. By the way scratch that.

I was really looking forward to watch this as it was the ending of the movie and as I told you before I didn't finish  reading the book. Overall I give 6 out of 10 because I think Renesmee character doesn't have enough part and the ending was so awkward. I thought Edward and Bella managed to kill the Volturi but it was only Alice's future prediction.

SKYFALL

Have you guys watch Skyfall? A new movie of James Bond. I started watching 007 movie when I was a little girl. I still remember the first James Bond movie that I watched is in 1998 called Die Another Day played by Pierce Brosnan. Since then, I never miss them in cinema.

Skyfall is great with awesome actors and script. Even the opening song of Skyfall by Adele with awesome animation was great! I love it, I give 9 over 10 because all are great except the story is too predictable. 

Savee Nose Mask Blackhead Removal

I bought this mask today at the Mines Shopping Mall. It was sold in a small booth in front of Giants and it bear the sign SAVEE RM2. I thought I saw save RM2 if I purchased a mask but it actually RM2 per mask and SAVEE is the brand name. I bought four other masks and got two free sample of orange body scrub gel. 

This blackhead mask is for my boyfriend as he has bigger pores than mine and more active than I do. So, he tend to have more blackhead and white heads on his pore especially around the nose area.

The packaging was small only 6 cm x 11 cm.

Ingredients: Aqua, polyvinyl alcohol, xanthan gum, propylene glycol, sodium pca, alcohol, phenoxyethanol, methylsothiazolinone and bamboo salt.

 The viscosity is so thick because of the xanthan gum. The color is black in color. From the packaging, I think he can use at least twice in one packet.

Clean your face with your face cleanser before applying the mask.

Use brush if you don't want to mess on your nose area or don't want to get your hand dirty.

Then, smile for the camera!!

Peel it off from both sides from the cheeks, save the nose area for last.

In the circle, whiteheads or sebum were attached to the mask during peel-off session

Feeling refresh eh??

Overall, the blackheads were gone but not the whiteheads and sebum.

Cupcake Crazy

I've been craving for cupcakes such a long time. Now I can have it. Quite expensive for RM 4.50 per cup but I really love this fruity cupcakes. Although it is a little bit hard to chew on but the taste is awesome!!

It has blueberry jam inside and vanilla flavor which are my favorite. What is your favorite flavor?

Maybelline Master Linear Eyeliner in BK-1 Black

Bought this Maybelline Master Linear Eyeliner in BK-1 Black two weeks ago but I forgot where I put it until just now. So I grab my Nikon Coolpix and take a few shots!

This eyeliner is a present from my boyfriend. Most of my makeup are being supplied from him. If he said no, I could not get a chance to swipe my Watsons card at all. In Malaysia, it's called Master Liner, however in the States, they called it Master Drama. I think they are just the same based on their packaging. But forgive me if I'm wrong.

Only RM15.90 in 13cm black slender plastic packaging.

It has a little pointed tip and just perfect for eye corner and for the lower rim as well. 

 The eyeliner is in crayon form and has 3.5 cm of length.

The color is intense and very saturated. Does not smudge without oil remover and hardly to rid off with water too.

Overall, it is a good product. Stay for 8 hours on my oily-combination face. Has twist in and out technology for the packaging. Can last for 2 months with everyday use.

Dinner: Chicken Chop Restaurant @Seri Serdang, Selangor

Last night, my boyfriend treated me to one of the fanciest busiest restaurant in Seri Serdang, the Chicken Chop Restaurant. This is the restaurant where he proposed me thru SMS to be his girlfriend for the first time although we sat in front of each others. This is the restaurant where he took me on our first date!

Well, I like all the foods here except the sizzlings. They suck. The view and surrounding are nice. The restaurant is all woody and the workers are all dudes with 6 packs. If I come here with him or with his parents, we will always order the western food. I'll do lamb chop and he'll do chicken chop. There are three sauce to choose from, black pepper sauce, mushroom sauce or tomato/chili sauce. However, if you choose meat, you can only choose between black pepper sauce or mushroom sauce meanwhile fish and chips is offered with tomato/chili sauce.

As usual, he managed to finish everything in a glimpse of seconds, meanwhile I'm still stuffing my mouth!!

Nice place to have romantic dinner with your date!! I absolutely loves the food, the service and surrounding!

FCUK Friction For Her

My new fragrance is from FCUK called Friction for Her. My friend bought it for me in Singapore which cost SD 27.59. If converted in MYR, it is around MYR 150.00. It was created in 2012.

I love the smell. Totally reminds me of authentic coconut sweets that my mom used to make at home called "sagong". However the coconut smell is very subtle with a few floral notes such as vanilla and berries. Notes that I recognize are pink honeysuckle, apple blossom, red berries, coconut, spun sugar, vanilla, pink jasmine, white vetiver, blonde woods, sandalwood, amber, and musk. The smell is so gorgeous and authentic. I think it is very suitable for summer. However, I'm going to wear this everyday as it will make me feel and smell breezy and remind me of the beach at my hometown.

The volume is 100mL meanwhile the flacon has white plastic packaging on its upper top and clear glass that has the stud effect at the bottom top. You can see the word FCUK on the front-left side and FRICTION at the back-left side. 

Absolutely love this, I still don't know whether they are selling this in Malaysia or not!!

Juice Works Banana Blast Off & Cookies N Cream

Received free coupon of Juice Works from Cleo October issue so the last two days Eric and I wanted to redeem the coupon as he hasn't try this juice/smoothies before, but I already had mine last three years ago.

We were so excited and went to Sunway Pyramid to redeem it. There, I ordered Banana Blast Off smoothies meanwhile he drank Cookies N Creme. As by having this coupon, we will get another one for free. He said the smoothies was horrible and gave him sore throat. I said he acted like a baby, so I tried his smoothies. 

Banana Blast Off is made of strawberry, banana, muesli/wheatbix, low fat milk/soy milk and low fat vanilla ice cream. Meanwhile, Cookies N Creme is made of chocolate, oreo cookies low fat milk/soy milk and low fat vanilla ice cream.

I think the smoothies was fine. He didn't bother to try mine and gave up his smoothies for me. Then, we had our breakfast at Subway and ordered our usual 1 foot Chicken Teriyaki Sub with our favourite sauce, BBQ and thousand island. We didn't order any drink, as I think I'm going to finish all the smoothies. However, after eating a few bites of my sub, my throat started to sore. I can't properly finish my sub and I asked him to finish it up for me. So, he gladly did with a satisfying look.

Then, after a few hours, I felt so painful. It became worse at night. I can even talk at all. It felt like something was in my throat. It has been two days and it still get worse at night. Even though I drink plenty of fluid, warm water,and even the barley drink. Nothing helps. 

For Juice Works lovers, I don't know if you felt the same thing as I did but I hate Juice Works, as it make me and my boyfriend suffer. Luckily the second drink was free and I didn't sign up for member card although I almost did it. I'm not going to drink here anymore, this would be my last.
